For man to build a mission in the clouds,
He first must place his feet upon the land
Then revel in his works by feeling proud
Before he casts his praise into the sand
God began his day without a word
And built the mountains piercing through the sky
His adulation going forth unheard
Until man did appear and then descried
The clouds in passing mark the day and night
Through them we see the wonders of the world
And so does man entertain his own scale
By scanning what he thinks against his sight
He understands the glories so unfurled
That makes his world lie down so soft and pale.
